Someone asked me recently why I was against the legalization of intoxicants. As a yogi, i have never been against intoxication; in fact, i actively endorse it! I am only against carrying small doses in your pocket. Why rest content with small stashes, when you can access a limitless supply from an inner source

My approach is not a moral one. It is natural to desire more of whatever you enjoy. If you want a life of intense awareness and aliveness, you cannot do it without intoxication. I often say that I am completely intoxicated but fully aware. But the crucial question is, do you want an intoxication that enables or disables you?
